All research compounds are packaged in sealed, appropriately labeled vials designed to maintain compound integrity during transit. Orders ship in discreet, professional outer packaging. Each order includes the Certificate of Analysis (COA) and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for every compound. Temperature-appropriate packaging materials are used where required to preserve compound stability during shipment.

Products & Quality

Purity standards, COA, synthesis, and analytical testing

5 questions

All Orcatech Bio-Peptides compounds meet a minimum purity standard of ≥99% by High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). Compound identity is independently confirmed by Liquid Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS), verifying molecular weight against the theoretical value. Endotoxin levels are tested via the LAL method, and bioburden analysis is conducted per USP <61>. All testing is performed by ISO/IEC 17025-accredited independent third-party laboratories. Full results are documented on the batch Certificate of Analysis.

A Certificate of Analysis is included with every order at the time of shipment. If you require a COA for a specific batch — or a replacement copy for your laboratory records — please contact us with your order number and the compound name. COA documents include: HPLC purity chromatogram and result, mass spectrometry identity data, endotoxin result, batch number, manufacture date, analytical test dates, and full specifications. Historical batch COAs are available on request.

All compounds undergo endotoxin testing (LAL method) and bioburden analysis (USP <61>) as part of our quality control process, and results are documented on the Certificate of Analysis. These tests are conducted for research characterization purposes to support your in vitro laboratory workflows.

Our products are for in vitro laboratory research use only. They are not intended for administration to humans or animals under any circumstances. These are not sterile pharmaceutical preparations.

Lyophilization — also called freeze-drying — is a process in which moisture is removed from the compound under vacuum conditions at low temperatures. The result is a dry, stable powder that has significantly extended shelf life and stability compared to solution-state storage. All Orcatech Bio-Peptides compounds are supplied in lyophilized form unless otherwise specified. Lyophilized compounds should be stored at −20°C in sealed vials away from light and moisture until the point of use in your research application.

Our research peptides are produced using Solid-Phase Peptide Synthesis (SPPS), a well-established and widely validated method for the production of synthetic peptides for research applications. Following synthesis, each compound undergoes purification via preparative HPLC to achieve the required purity specification. The purified compound is then lyophilized for long-term stability. Every batch is subjected to full analytical characterization — including HPLC purity testing, LC-MS/MS identity confirmation, endotoxin testing, and independent third-party verification — before being made available for research purchase.

Our products are available exclusively to qualified researchers, scientists, and research professionals operating within licensed, controlled laboratory environments. Eligible purchasers include: academic research personnel at universities and research colleges; commercial biotechnology and pharmaceutical research laboratories; contract research organizations (CROs); independent research institutions; and bioanalytical laboratories.

Our products are not available to members of the general public, individuals seeking personal use, or any person intending to use these compounds outside of a qualified in vitro laboratory research setting. We reserve the right to verify credentials and refuse or cancel any order.

For in vitro laboratory research use only. Not for personal use, human consumption, or any application outside of a controlled laboratory setting.

All products sold by Orcatech Bio-Peptides are intended exclusively for in vitro scientific research use only. This includes laboratory-based applications such as: cell culture studies, biochemical assays, compound screening, analytical method development and validation, structural or chemical characterization studies, and other controlled in vitro investigative procedures carried out by qualified personnel in licensed laboratory settings.

These products are not intended for, and must not be used for: any in vivo application, human consumption, human self-administration, veterinary use, clinical use, diagnostic use, food or cosmetic production, or any purpose outside of qualified in vitro laboratory research.

In vitro laboratory research use only. Not approved by the FDA for any use. Not for human or veterinary use under any circumstances.

No. None of the products sold by Orcatech Bio-Peptides are approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). These compounds have not been evaluated by the FDA for safety, efficacy, or any specific use. They are not drugs, dietary supplements, medical devices, or pharmaceutical preparations. They are research-grade chemical compounds intended solely for qualified in vitro laboratory research applications by trained scientific personnel.

No. Orcatech Bio-Peptides products must not be used in clinical trials, human studies, or any research involving human or animal subjects. Our compounds are strictly for in vitro laboratory research only. Any clinical or translational research involving human or animal subjects requires separately manufactured, appropriately regulated, and IRB/IACUC-approved substances produced under GMP or equivalent conditions, with relevant regulatory authorization. Our research compounds do not meet these requirements.

Not for use in clinical trials, human studies, or any in vivo application. Not FDA-approved. In vitro laboratory research use only.

Storage & Handling

Storage conditions, shelf life, reconstitution, and handling protocols

4 questions

Lyophilized (dry) compounds: Store at −20°C in the original sealed vial, away from light and moisture. Do not open vials in humid environments. For long-term archiving of research stocks, −80°C storage is recommended where available. Allow sealed vials to equilibrate to room temperature before opening to minimize moisture condensation.

Reconstituted solutions: Aliquot into single-use volumes immediately after reconstitution. Store aliquots at −80°C for extended storage or at 4°C for short-term use (up to 48 hours). Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, which significantly degrade compound integrity. This guidance is provided for in vitro research use only.

Lyophilized research compounds stored at −20°C in sealed vials typically retain analytical-grade integrity for 24 months or more from the date of manufacture, when stored under recommended conditions. Reconstituted solutions are significantly less stable and are compound-dependent — they should be used promptly and not relied upon for long-term storage. Refer to the individual compound's COA and SDS for batch-specific stability information. This information is provided for in vitro research planning purposes only.

The following protocol is provided as general guidance for in vitro research use only by qualified laboratory personnel:

  1. Allow the sealed vial to equilibrate to room temperature before opening (≈10 minutes).
  2. In a clean, dry environment, wipe the vial septum with an appropriate laboratory wipe.
  3. Draw the required volume of sterile reconstitution solvent (typically bacteriostatic water or sterile water for research use) into a syringe.
  4. Slowly inject the solvent along the inner wall of the vial — never directly onto the lyophilized cake — to minimize foaming and denaturation.
  5. Gently swirl the vial. Do not vortex or shake vigorously.
  6. Allow 2–5 minutes for complete dissolution. The resulting solution should be clear.
  7. Aliquot into single-use volumes before storage at −80°C.
For in vitro laboratory research use only. This protocol does not constitute medical, clinical, or veterinary guidance of any kind.

Repeated freeze-thaw cycles are not recommended as they significantly degrade peptide integrity and reduce analytical purity over time. Best practice for research use is to aliquot the reconstituted solution into single-use volumes immediately after reconstitution — before the first freeze. Store each aliquot at −80°C. For each research session, thaw only the required aliquot and use promptly. Discard any unused portion from a thawed aliquot rather than refreezing. This information is provided for in vitro research workflow planning only.
